Our Education Philosophy:
To propel our students to excel in the challenges that life provides by empowering their minds, in science and knowledge; and illuminating their hearts, in faith and virtue.
Hikmah School applies this approach by providing a balanced educational curriculum of faith-based education and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) disciplines to prepare our students to become well-rounded leaders in our community driven by a desire to seek Allah’s approval through service to his creation.
Our Distinguishing Features:
- Small Student: Teacher ratio
- Based on common core state standards along with Islamic and Arabic education
- Hafiz & Arabic language prep
- Leadership Programs and Character Education
- Rigorous Academic Program (STREAM)
- Extra-Curricular Programs
- School & Family Interaction
The Full-Time School is currently in session every weekday, Monday – Thursday, from 8 am to 3 pm, and Fridays from 8 am – Jumu’ah Prayer. Investment in education is the best investment one can make because it eventually leads to intellectual property. Therefore, our mission is for each student to develop a positive identity as a Muslim and become prepared intellectually, socially, emotionally, spiritually, and physically to succeed in tomorrow’s world.
- Elementary School Curriculum
Using California State standards supported curriculum, the Full-Time School focuses on the four core subject areas: Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies, as well as Arabic, Quran, and Islamic Studies. Our School meets or exceeds Common Core Standards. Combining academics with solid guidance and a character education program, we help our children to become model Muslims, global citizens, and lifelong learners. The Elementary Quran curriculum offers basic recitation rules of the Quran followed by complete recitation of the Quran.
- Middle School Curriculum
BMCC is proud to announce the implementation of a unique, working, memory-based middle school curriculum for the Muslim community in the US, emphasizing Qur’an memorization. We offer a parallel hafiz program that focuses on improving working memory through Qur’an memorization (with an optional hafiz track), including an Arabic language program.
Admissions: Admissions are made on a First-Come-First-Serve basis and at the sole discretion of the BMCC school committee.
School currently don’t have provisions for special needs students
